About Jodi Dingwall

Experience

Jodi Dingwall is a sought after Family Lawyer with many years of experience as a lawyer and over a decade of experience practising exclusively in Family Law.  Jodi has substantial experience representing people with complex property matters. She is experienced in assisting and representing people with a range of family law issues: property matters, parenting and child related matters, spousal maintenance and child support matters, and domestic violence.

Jodi is collaboratively trained, attends mediations with her clients on a regular basis, and is skilled in mediation, negotiation and advocacy. She appears in the Federal Circuit Court and Family Court regularly.

Leadership

Jodi is a Shareholder and Senior Associate at OSheaDyer and leads a team of legal professionals who work in the Family Law Department. She is highly regarded by her team and her many clients.  Her experience is sought after and recommended by clients who have engaged her as their lawyer. Jodi is committed to improving client service and being as efficient as possible so that clients have their matters resolved quickly and as cost-effectively as possible.  Jodi's early career experience in commercial law and conveyancing is beneficial to clients when working through property settlements and when implementing financial agreements.  

Vision

Jodi ensures that her clients understand how the law impacts their situation and advises on what is a reasonable settlement or agreement. She is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about family law and how it applies to her clients and all parties concerned. She goes to great lengths to honestly and clearly explain the processes and how the law applies. Jodi is a firm believer that going to court should always be a last resort.  However, she regularly appears in court on behalf of her clients. Jodi offers clients practical advice that takes into account her client's particular circumstances.  She helps clients think 'outside the box' so they can resolve their matters quickly and as cost-effectively as possible. Jodi is a firm believer that no one should spend money on lawyers and going to court unless it is absolutely necessary.

Relationships

One of Jodi's strengths is her ability to connect with people. She is down to earth and understands the many issues people face when separating. She is active in the business community and is able to direct clients to other professionals when they need assistance with non-legal matters.
