Courtney Aitken is an experienced Family Lawyer who has practised exclusively in Family Law since 2014. Courtney represents clients with all types of Family Law matters, including parenting, property settlements, child support, spousal maintenance and domestic violence matters. Different circumstances require different approaches – some benefit from negotiating and formalising an agreement, including via Mediation. Other circumstances may require Court proceedings. Courtney has extensive experience in both.
Courtney is a Senior Associate and leader within the OSheaDyer team. She is highly regarded as an experienced Family Lawyer within the profession and the Townsville community. Courtney is consistently recommended to others by previous clients who have benefited from her experience, understanding and efficiency.
Clients feel empowered by Courtney’s ability to explain the law and legal process, and how it applies to them, in uncomplicated terms. Providing realistic advice from the get-go ensures matters can be resolved as quickly and cost-effectively as possible. Courtney’s desire to resolve matters as amicably as possible benefits clients and their children both during the separation process and beyond.
Communication from Courtney is friendly and concise. Courtney understands that separation is one of the most challenging times for people, and that they need support and guidance to help them through. Many clients have benefited from Courtney’s assistance during their separation and refer their family, friends and associates to her for representation.
When not at work, Courtney enjoys soaking up every minute with her family, hiking the stunning North Queensland landscapes and travelling to explore new places.
